Feminism isn't synonymous with man-hating.
When I tell some guys that I'm a feminist they automatically assume that I'm a man-hater. I get offended when they make such assumptions. Being a feminist doesn't mean that I'm a man-hater. Some of the guys I told I was a feminist are friends so it's rather obvious I don't hate men. Being a feminist means that you want equality for men and women, not that you hate men. The topics I focus on in my feminist group on campus are making sure abortion stays legal so women always have a choice and educating people on how women are mistreated in other countries. This is the basis for most feminists. There are some man-hating feminists out there but for the most part, that isn't the case. So for any men that are confused, remember that feminism is about equality and allowing people of both genders to have choices.
